Right as we walked up, we found a really cool steel drum band to listen to. The group of performers was really big, and they sounded awesome!
This was definitely more fun than sitting in Phillips Arena watching the poor Hawks lose another game! :0)
A closer view of the band. I tried to look them up online, but couldn't find any information!
This was the first weekend for the fountains to be up and "flowing" for park visitors. There were several sets of soaked parents and kids. We tried to catch one of the choreographed shows, but we missed it by about 15 minutes. :-(
We also poked our heads into the Visitor Center to see if we could look up Bryan's "brick." When the Olympics came to Atlanta in 1996, Bryan's "Grammy" bought bricks for each of her grandkids - Bryan, sister Leigh and cousin Alex.
A close up of Mr. Spann's famous brick. :-)
I have to admit...
I am a little jealous...
They are rather cool....
I want one.
Headed home after an afternoon of fun in the sun. Maybe one of these days I can teach Bryan to smile with his eyes open!I have to admit...
I am a little jealous...
They are rather cool....
I want one.
