More! More! More!

Upon leaving dinner on Day One, we found ourselves at the Acme Cantina - a local bar within walking distance of our beach apartment. We also found ourselves there every night for the next four days. If we didn't have to leave on Friday, we might have ended up staying and working there! :-)
While I will spare you most of the pictures from our first night, (I have to. Really.) I will share some of my favorites with you...

This is what you call a "before" picture.

Sherry and Michelle gettin' gangsta with Adam, our favorite bartender.

Look! It's our favorite drunk dialers!

We got to the beach ASAP (which wasn't very early) on Tuesday. We only stayed out for a couple of hours because the whitey-white people (Abby and Sherry) began to roast. While I do have a rule about not going into any water I can't see my feet in (Did that make sense?), I did do some "sitting" nearby and I even waded in - a little bit - for a Fair Oaks Hottie beach picture.

Who knew that sitting on the beach could make my butt look this good?!

Night Two started here! :)

Blogger Makes Me CRAZY!!

We're going to have to do this a little bit at a time I guess....

Pictures from Day One!

Vanna Abigail and Vanna Claudine in front of the Ocean Inn where we stayed.

Ooh! Oooh! Let me in!

As soon as we dumped our bags... we were off to the beach!

Shortly after arriving, we made our way to a local restaurant. The Dirty Banana Daquiris have since erased its name from my memory. However, when we were leaving, we decided to make a "pit stop." Never have I ever seen such a unique potty setup.....

It's a good thing we're friends! :-)

Whew!

The update is here! You people really know how to harrass a girl!!

Charleston was so much fun!

I have been spinning in circles since going back to work last Monday, and it doesn't look like life will be slowing down any time soon. Our school underwent a MAJOR renovation over the summer, but it left the classrooms really dirty and messy.

We also have some really sketchy construction workers who have managed to "pinch" quite a few items from various classrooms - including mine. I have to remind myself that the "stuff" is not what makes my classroom an awesome place to be - it's the kids inside that make me want to come to work. Come Monday morning, I won't be thinking about the missing "stuff" - I'll be focused on my kiddos who are just as ready to come back and be together as I am!

I'm afraid my pictures won't be in any particular order. Evidently when you save a draft of a post, Blogger doesn't want to let you add any new pictures to it.

On our first night in Charleston we discovered the Acme Cantina, which was in WALKING distance of our beach apartment. Danger, Danger, Danger! We met a group of guys who worked at The Boathouse, a restaurant on the Isle of Palms (where we were staying). They invited us to come out for a night and have dinner.

We also did quite a bit of shopping as well --- in The Market in Charleston, and in the fun beach shops along the boardwalk on the Isle of Palms.

Claudine the pirate looking for a bathing suit!

Michelle the Mad and Abigail the Anxious --- ARRRRR!

Sorry, no pirate hats were purchased. They didn't come with eyepatches - which, we clearly needed to pass as "authentic" pirates. I did find a cute new bathing suit! :-)
